BH COSMETICS COLLABORATION PALETTES REVIEW

Hello everyone, I am so excited to be finally launching my blog digitalhan! After much deliberation I have decided to create this space to share my love of all things beauty, as well as a little fashion and lifestyle. So thank you for stopping by my blog today and don’t forget to subscribe and check out @digital.han on Instagram.

Today I have a review of three BH Cosmetics collaboration palettes. BH Cosmetics is an online American based cosmetics store, which has a large range of affordable products. Throughout last year they launched several palettes in collaboration with famous YouTube beauty gurus and celebrities. I was lucky enough to get my hands on the Shaaanxo palette, the Carli Bybel palette and the Illuminate by Ashley Tisdale palette in Night Goddess. All palettes can be purchased here.

Shaaanxo Palette

The Shaaanxo palette is a double-sided palette that includes nine eyeshadows and nine lipsticks. The eyeshadows include four matte shades, four shimmery shades and one duochrome shade. The shadows are all beautiful warm tones that are highly pigmented and blend very easy. For the price, they feel like very high quality shadows that you can create a range of looks with.

The nine lipsticks in the palette range from nudes to bold colours. Whilst they take a while to build up intensity on the lips, the formula is very smooth and hydrating. The only problem is that it is difficult to take the palette with you to re-apply.

This palette retails for $14.50 US and is perfect for travel and can be used for a variety of looks!

Carli Bybel Palette

The Carli Bybel palette features ten eyeshadow shades and four highlight shades. The eyeshadows include five matte and five shimmer shades. The eyeshadows in this palette are quite different as they lean towards a more mauve tone, rather than warm browns, making this palette unlike many others. Just like the Shaaanxo palette, the shades are highly pigmented and easy to blend making this well worth it for the price.

The lighter highlight shades in this palette are definitely my favourite and seem to be more highly pigmented than the darker two when applied to the face. The darker highlighters would be beautiful on deeper skin tones, however. The highlighters are also similar in colour to some of the eyeshadows but are great nonetheless.

This also retails for $14.50 US and the large mirror and compact design makes it perfect to take on the go.

Illuminate by Ashley Tisdale – Night Goddess

This palette is made up of nine eyeshadow shades and three cheek shades (a bronzer, blush and highlight). Two of the eyeshadows are matte and the rest are shimmers. The palette has a good mix of warm and cool tones and can be used to create a range of looks from dramatic to natural. While still quite pigmented and blendable, I don’t find the colour payoff of this palette to be as good as the first two. It is, however, still very nice and I would recommend it to those who are new to eyeshadow. I also find that there is a lack of a transition shade and have ended up using the bronzer for this most of the time.

The bronzer, blush and highlight shades are my favourite part of the palette. The blush is a beautiful dusty pink shade and will suit almost any skin tone whilst the bronzer and highlight are both pigmented and easy to blend out when applied to the skin.

This palette retails for $12.50 US, which is quite reasonable for what the palette includes.

I love each of these palettes and recommend picking them up as they are all excellent for travel and very affordable!

Have you tried any of these palettes?
