Hi everyone, welcome back to my blog! I hope you’re having a lovely week. Today I’m going to be sharing with you a review of the Pur Cosmetics Love Your Selfie 2 palette.

If you haven’t heard of Pur cosmetics (pronounced like pure) they are a mineral makeup company that produce products that are good for your skin and that are free from animal testing. Currently in Australia, you can purchase some Pur Cosmetics products’ from Myer.

I was lucky enough to be sent their Love Your Selfie 2 palette to try and test out. This was my first experience with this brand so I was very excited! This palette was a follow up to their original Love Your Selfie palette. It currently retails for $42.00 US and is available from the Pur Cosmetics website.

This palette comes in a beautiful silver box-like palette that is just gorgeous. The mirror is also a very decent size. The palette features 8 eyeshadow, an under-eye setting powder, a highlight, a bronzer, a travel size mascara, a lip pencil and a lip gloss. The palette is marketed to have everything you need to take the perfect selfie.

L to R: Headshot, Statuesque, Panorama, Abstract
L to R: Pose, Sketch, Megapixel, Paparazzi

The eyeshadows in this palette include 3 matte shades and 5 shimmer shades. I was immediately impressed with the pigmentation of these shades. The shimmer shades are unbelievably pigmented and look so beautiful on the lid. I do wish there was one more deeper brown matte shade but the bronzer is easily used as a replacement. There is a slight bit of kick up in the pan when you use these shadows but nothing too bad. This is mostly due to the fact that they are so buttery and blend out amazingly on the lid. Megapixel is definitely my favourite shade as it is such a pigmented shimmery gold.

L to R: Overexposed, Photogenic, Composition

The under-eye setting shade is great as it is quite light and will work nicely to brighten most skin tones. I also love that it doesn’t cake up over my concealer. The highlight shade is quite beautiful as it gives the cheeks a nice subtle sheen. If you like an intense highlight, you may not be a huge fan of this but it does build well. The bronzer is my favourite of these three face shades. It would be perfect for most skin tones as it is not too deep or muddy looking. It also blends out like a dream!

The lip pencil is a lovely nude-berry shade that can be worn alone or with the lip gloss. It’s super pigmented and creamy, making it very comfortable on the lips. It also wore really well throughout the day. The lipgloss is slightly more nude than the pencil and it a great wearable shade. I love that it’s not sticky on the lips. The wear time is not as great as the pencil but that’s to be expected with a gloss. The mascara is a travel size version of their Fully Charged mascara and is a great little addition to the palette. However, I find the applicator to be quite big, which makes it a little hard to apply. The formula is also on the dryer side and can get clumpy quickly if you’re not careful.

Overall, I’m super impressed with this palette and think it’s a great product to take travelling as it condenses so many products into one palette. I do wish it included a blush shade, as it would be even better as a travel palette then but it’s still really great!
